The Connecticut Forum presents…

Saturday, May 5, 2012
8pm, The Bushnell Theater, Hartford, CT

Since 1992, The Connecticut Forum has held great discussions four times per year with great speakers. Past panelists have included: Benazir Bhutto, Bucky Dent, Elie Wiesel, Kurt Vonnegut, Elizabeth Edwards, Salman Rushdie, Toni Morrison, Anita Hill, Bill Moyers, Malcolm Gladwell, Newt Gingrich, Gloria Steinem, Andrew Sullivan, and more than 250 others. Besides unscripted panel discussions among renowned experts and celebrities, The Connecticut Forum also implements community outreach programs including the award-winning CT YOUTH Forum.

Its mission is simple; to encourage the free and active exchange of ideas in Forums that inform, challenge, entertain, inspire and build bridges among all people and organizations in our community.

Next month the Connecticut Forum will have a discussion with sustainability as the focus.  I know, there’s a lot out there but the panel will feature some noted experts that have good stories to tell from various angles of sustainability.  It looks like it will be another great discussion.

The discussion panel includes:

Michael Pollan, Best-Selling Author and Pioneering Advocate on How to Eat and Live Sustainably

Majora Carter, Eco-Entrepreneur and Host of the Peabody Award-Winning Radio Series The Promised Land

Dan Esty, Author of Green to Gold, Yale Professor and Commission of CT DEEP

The panel will be Moderated by John Dankosky, WNPR Host of Where We Live.

Tickets are available at 860.509.0909 or www.ctforum.org
