Job Description

The operations manager is responsible for the operational success of a given branch. This includes all aspects of branch operations such as warehouse management, office management, project management, site evaluations, permitting, service and construction management. Together with the sales manager, the operations manager is responsible for the bottom line profit and loss of the branch. Job responsibilities include:
Evaluate available resources for projects;
Manage project resources including material and installation crews;
Work with project management to build project schedule;
Communicate branch needs with other departments;
Work with Foreman/Construction Manager to ensure professional and high quality installations;
Provide customer service including coordination of service and repair;
Manage warehouse operations including, safety, security, etc.;
Manage the office regarding insurance requirements, cleanliness, safety and other issues;
Maintain vehicle fleet with support from fleet administrator;
Communicate with sales manager regarding installation capacity and projections;
Provide accountability for branch profit and loss;
Lead your operations team, by mentoring and guiding your staff.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree and 5+ years business/construction experience;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills;
Operationally focused; detailed oriented but able to grasp big picture;
Good people skills, able to manage, motivate and discipline if necessary;
Positive attitude and even temperament;
Motivated team player, looking to succeed;
Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word and project management tools (MS Project);
Strong work ethic, analytical, understands how to manage people effectively and leads by example;
Able and willing to be hands-on-get involved and do what it takes;
