Come join us for a screening of an archived webinar from Greenbuild 2011. The Passive House approach (Passivhaus in German) is one of the world’s most aggressive, proven approaches to radical energy reduction, durability, IAQ and thermal comfort by design. This session will introduce and explore the Passive House standard design approach and requirements as well as demonstrate its application to projects in the North American context. This interactive session will introduce some of the barriers and opportunities seeking input from attendees for superior home energy performance.

Session Objectives
The origins of Passivhaus
What the Passivhaus standards require
Comparison and how to incorporate it into LEED for Homes
Case studies of North American Passive House projects
Light refreshments will be served

This session has been registered for 1.5 hrs hours of LEED Specific (HOMES) GBCI hours as well as 1.5 hrs AIA/CES LU/HSW/SD hours. To facilitate AIA and GBCI CEU credit recording please provide your AIA membership # and GBCI Credential Maintenance Program # when registering.

Clean Energy Matchmaking Event

The Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA) in collaboration with the Renewable Energy & Efficiency Business Association (REEBA), the Connecticut Bankers Association and the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund are hosting a joint clean energy matchmaking event. This event will bring developers and financiers together with the intent of creating strategic partnerships that will further Connecticut’s energy, environmental, and economic development objectives.

Message: Clean energy project financing opportunities are real and growing in Connecticut.

Audience: Contractors, developers, bankers, private equity firms, investors, financial institutions, chambers.
